Yarn Along

yarnalong_gsheller_grayIt's Wednesday again, time for Yarn Along with Ginny of Small Things when crafters all over share their projects and what they're reading. I've been yarning along for a while now and it's how I've found a lot of great craft bloggers.

I'm utterly pleased with the Shakespeare Cardigan. The 1x1 rib has been just fine, almost 6 inches of fine. I only have 3 inches left before I move onto the honeycomb pattern. Keep your fingers crossed for that. There's still inches and inches of 1x1 rib after the honeycomb pattern is finished. It's a good thing that I don't mind it.

This pattern suits the tweed so much better. the rib draws in the fabric giving it a little extra heft. I know this is a sweater that will last a long while.

I'm still reading Kaffe Fassett's Dreaming in Color, Anthea Paul's girlosophy and Paris Chic by Ines de la Pressange. They're books that keep me centered and focused on making my dreams come true this year.

My children are in day care two days a week, so it means that I can get a little time to myself to do some writing and attempt to keep the house clean. The peace and quiet in the house are soothing even if I'm trying to get a lot of work done.

How's your knitting? Have any big dreams for the new year?
