I've been lucky enough to get to attend TNNA in the past and it's a ton of fun. Whether you're buying for a yarn shop or representing as a yarn company it's goodtimes being surrounded by yarny professionals. However, I haven't gotten to go to TNNA in years, but it's still a great way to find out what's coming up from your favorite yarn purveyors.

So what's the hot stuff from 2011 TNNA?

Shawls, Shawls and More Shawls

knittingwrapsodyAs CraftGossip pointed out, amigarumi seems to be waning, but shawls and coverlets seem to be all the rage. This is especially true as Kristin Omdahl's new book Knitting Wrapsody is coming out -which a lot of bloggers have noted. Seeing some of the shawls on TNNA attendees, this is one book I'm especially looking forward to reading and knitting. I seem to have a lot of yarn quantities that would be conducive to more wraps and shawls.


New Designers

With so many fantastic tools to reach knitters, like Ravelry, Knit Picks's Indie Designer Patterns, and Etsy there are more and more knitting designers coming through the ranks and heading for TNNA. Here are some up and coming knit designers that you'll see more of in 2011:
