Tweed Girl

Some yarn came in the mail last week, just before Thanksgiving. It was that stuff I ordered on sale from Little Knits.

I am shamelessly addicted to tweed. I can think of five sweater quantities of it in my stash. I am so precious about tweed that it is nearly impossible to figure out what to knit with it. Do you have this sort of paralyzation? I have surfed ravelry patterns for hours trying to pick a pattern for the burgundy sweater and now for this beautiful blue Queensland Kathmandu. I have no idea what to make with it and I don't have a single sweater or cadigan on the needles.

Somebody make a suggestion. I've already made a Central Park Hoodie, and don't really care to make another. I have been thinking of doing the February Lady, but I'm not so sure that it's my style.

I have some requirements:

  1. It needs to be a cardigan. It's too warm where I live for full-time pullovers.
  2. It needs to be knit on size 8 or 9 needles. My gauge is super tight.
  3. The sweater needs to accommodate my sizeable bust.
  4. Said project should not require a zipper.

Got any good ideas? Here's the yarn in question:

I'm not sure a FLS is your style either. What about Shapely Boyfriend Cardigan? It looks to be easily adjusted if you're worried about the bewbs. Or the Cerulean Cardigan might be a good one...

I was just fantasizing about a tweed cardigan yesterday. I'm in love with Collins by Thea Coleman:

That is a gorgeous cabled cardi, V. I'm going to add it to my favorites. And Renee Anne, I really really really like that Cerulean Cardi. So far you guys are great with the recommendations . Keep them coming!

What's going on now?

Miracles have happened and husbeast received and accepted a job offer at his dream company last week. He starts work soon. We are breathing sighs of relief and expecting great things ahead.

I'm knitting. I've been caring for my two sons, living at my MIL's house, volunteering at our local co-op preschool and gardening. Trying to find time to write and to redefine this blog to embrace my current reality.
