Sock Knitting Counts, Right?

As my pal Renee pointed out, yes I am knitting socks, but that hardly counts. I can knit socks with my eyes shut. Plus, I feel naked if I don't have a pair of socks on the needles. I am a knitting addict and socks are the drug that keeps me from going into knitting withdrawal. We would all be in sheep dip if I didn't have any knitting at all.

At the same time, I'm still annoyed about that knitting disaster that was the diminishing rib cardigan and I want to cast on something with that yarn, but I still associate it with that painful knitting experience so I'm still avoiding it. Reading comics instead of looking at potential knitting patterns, making jam instead of knitting gauge swatches.

But since I'm trying to get back into the habit of blogging, I will show you this sock I have going.

It's a cheerful sock if I say so. They're going to be a Christmas gift for someone :)
