Pride Knitting - Yay They Ruled Against Prop 8!

knittinggaytopsIn what turned out to be a crazy week for my personal life, the news about Judge Walker striking down Prop 8 was a bright shiny light of hope. I wanted to celebrate by highlighting gay knitters out there:

Queer Joe's Knitting Blog
Joe knits a mean lace shawl, spins his own yarn and makes you laugh about all things reality tv. This one is added to google reader :)

Knitting Gay Tops
It's not what you think. A knit-kit from Etsy Seller myattictreasures.

RobStrauss had a lovely idea over at Men Who Knit for a Gay Knitting Cruise.

The Octopus and the Rose has "The Knitted Response to Homophobia".
Reading Benjamin's story of being harrassed on a simple night out with his friends reminds one that the world still has a lot to learn about tolerance. He mentions some beautiful ways that people are responding to homophobia. He has recently moved his blog to pins and tentacles.

I just saw this by accident. Thanks so much for the write-up! You're a doll. I really really really must finish that piece of knitted graffiti.

What's going on now?

I'm knitting. I've been caring for my two sons, living at my MIL's house, volunteering at our local co-op preschool and gardening. Trying to find time to write and to redefine this blog to embrace my current reality.
