It's Oktoberfest season, which for my family means going to the various Oktoberfest events around our city. It also means lots of schnitzel and glass boots filled with beer. This is one of the reasons why I loved spillyjaneknits's pint glass socks. Those socks were so awesome it had me wondering if there were other cool beer-related knitting projects and websites around. Here's what I found:
The Knitting With Beer blog is hilarious. I love the low-fi photography and the posts about knitting and the posts about beer. The other day, they did a post about what was in their car, which for me was highly amusing.
You can buy vintage sweaters featuring prominent beer company logos (via trendhunter).
Designer Ysolda did a blog post "beer and knitting"
You can get a stein from Cafe Press with your favorite knitting logo/saying.
In the spirit of Oktoberfest, which originates in Germany, I bring you An Old German's Knit Blog.
LollyKnittingAround is running the annual socktoberfest. Here's what's going on for 2010.
