Finally back with Year of Projects. The last two weeks have been full of stressful crap, the accumulation of stuff that I didn't realize what stressing me out all came to the forefront. I had to deal with it all and that didn't leave much room for doing much else. It's nice to be sharing my knitting again.
I finished one sleeve on the Shakespeare Cardigan. That means I'm just one sleeve away from being able to block and sew the cardigan together. I'm excited to have a new autumn sweater to wear this year. It's been an enjoyable knit. Not too difficult but not too simple either.
I finished one of the Christmas Socks. I think I might cast on for the second sock today.

Here are my projects for the year:
- Christmas Socks #1 (60% done)
- Christmas Socks #2
- Christmas Socks #3
- Christmas Socks #4
- Multnomah Shawl (5% done)
- Older Boy Cardigan
- Younger Boy Cardigan
- That Knitted Cuff Thing
- Pepperberry Knits Hat
- Mitered Block Blanket (90% done)
- Shakespeare Cardigan (75% done)
- Dahlia Cardigan (8% done)
With any luck I'll get my blogging mojo back this week and I'll really get to town.
What are you working on these days?

It's Knit and Crochet Blog week here at Knit Luck. Thanks to Eskimimi knitters and crocheters are all blogging about the same topics in celebration of our beloved craft. You can see yesterday's post here, or check out our participation from last year.
Today we are supposed to imagine what kinds of achievements we will make in the next year in our knitting in time for next year's Knit and Crochet Blog week. But first, I want to look back at last year.
Last year I was using Knit and Crochet Blog week to give the Knit Luck blog another try. I have been writing Knit Luck since 2009, with some interruptions to have babies. Until last year I was unable to be as consistant as I wanted to be in my blogging. Once I completed Knit and Crochet Blog Week I was able to develop a routine with my blogging and focus more on my personal knitting instead of knitting-related gossip. I was also inspired to start writing guides about knitting things I was passionate about, like interchangeable knitting needles, and gifts for knitters.
Knitting Wise I did a lot of sock knitting and worked on the mitered block blanket and coped with the diminishing rib cardigan disaster. It was a lesson to pick myself up after frogging a 80% done sweater, but now we're nearling 70% done on a much better cardigan that I can't wait to knit. But that's all last year.
For next year, I want to finish my cardigans, finally weave in the ends and the edging on the blanket and knit my christmas socks. I think that's enough for now. As for knit blogging, I'm hoping to make more connections with other knit bloggers and have started to by doing Year of Projects and Yarn Along. I'm hoping to spend a little more time on Twitter. But you know the number 1 thing I need to do is join a knitting group, or start one. Also I want to give Knit Watcher another try. It's a Blog Along for Fridays where you share what you're watching and knitting.
What are you hoping to achieve next year?

Today we are supposed to write about tools for knitters and crocheters to covet and in fact, I have been writing a lot about a tool that knitters LOVE and that's interchangeable knitting needles. I'm still on the hunt for the best set of interchangeable knitting needles.

Soon I will be reviewing the Lantern Moon Interchangeable Knitting Needles. I had the chance to try out the Ebony and Rosewood needles, which are completely handmade. At first I was skeptical that they would be worth the high cost, but they are exquisite needles with a handfeel that can't be rivaled. I'll get more into the needles in the review, but for now, check out the Knit Luck Interchangeable Knitting Needle Guide to learn more.
While you're here, be sure to let me know what your favorite set of interchangeable knitting needles are. I'm really interested in hearing which sets you love and why you love them.

Today I just give you a single photo. Those of you who have been reading the blog for a while know what this is. I like to call it progress:

Today's topic is Color Review, where we discuss our favorite colors and whether or not our stash reflects those colors. For me, the point of knitting is to interact with a favorite color in a physical way. I cannot knit with a color I don't love. It's impossible. There's no point, so there's nothing in my stash that I wouldn't knit.
My favorite colors are purple, pink, magenta, fuchscia, lavender, aqua, light blue, navy, brown, orange, burgundy, olive green, gray. That's a lot of colors. So let's have a look at the stash, shall we? Keep in mind this is about a third of my stash.
This is basically going to be a little photo show of yarn. I'm just going to let them speak for themselves.
Do any of these inspire you? Which of these do you have in your stash? Let me know in the comments!
This is part of my sock yarn stash:
