The Lamplight Shawl, a new knitting pattern available from The Crazy Knitting Lady

The knitty blog reminds us that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Knaked Knits podcast features an interview with Soak founder Jacqueline Sava, who singlehandedly revitalized the wool wash and forced existing vendors to step up their game.

Pam McKenzie from the In Stitches Blog on mycentraljersey.com has some tips on how to make a sweater fit you well, with an emphasis on knitting in the round.

Whipup.net is starting a sequence of guest bloggers, starting with Leethal Knitting who has a great list of easily customizable knitting patterns for any gauge.

Crazy Knitting Lady has a new shawl pattern out available through thesweetsheep.com. See the photo, above left.

Speaking of new knitting patterns, Cosmicpluto Knits has Lutherie, a fabulous new coat pattern out, using two strands of Cascade 220. I have a worsted yarn that I am sorely tempted to use to make this coat.

Here are some things where you can add LED lights to your knitting.

Happy knitting!

Welcome

angelafall2013smallI'm Angela. I'm an obsessed knitter.

Blogging about knitting since 2004.

What's going on now?

To sum up: husband has a job after two layoffs in 2013. Husband has been laid off for the fourth time in two years due to companies cancelling projects. I have two kids under the age of 5, we just moved in with my mother in law and I think I'm starting to get my mojo back. I've had writer's block for weeks.
