Chez KnitLuck - What's On the Needles

Chez Knitluck, we're saying goodbye to summer. But the season is not the only thing changing. I'm entering my final weeks as an employed person. I'm still on the lookout for a job, but it's tough out there. This means there's a lot of work to do. Projects at work to finish, resumes to send out. It also means I won't be posting as vigilantly as normally, at least not until the first week of October. I'll still be posting, but there might be more intervals between posts.

That said, I'm really enjoying working on this website and adding "enhancements" as they say in Jane Austen novels. Stay tuned.

All that aside, I'm doing a lot of knitting around here:
Teaching myself how to knit a toe-up sock:

Knitting an Aston Hat (pdf) and trying to spin, with special emphasis on the trying. I've been spinning the fibers that Lamina the Great sent me last year. I really need to go through her tutorial again!

Oh, see those two balls of blue tweed? They're for the winner of the final round of the logo contest. You guys should know that I chose H!

And the winner of the contest was... Sada! Shoot me This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with your address and those two skeins of Rowan Yorkshire Tweed will be yours!

Don't look at it as a door closing, look at it as an opportunity for something new. I have faith that you will find something.

BTW, the socks look great!

Awww thanks Kathryn :D Truth be told, I have good feelings about the weeks ahead, but there's still a lot of adjustment becoming a single-income family, even if only temporarily.

I'm relishing the opportunity to care for my son, knit Christmas presents, and increase my knitting and web design skills.

It will all work out the way it's supposed to. It always does :D

I *won*?!? OMG, thank you so much!

Best of luck in the job-searching.. .I've been looking for a couple months now, and competition is pretty tough! The key is to stay positive, and it sounds like you're going into it with the right attitude!

Yea! Good to see your spindle! I need to get more of those kits listed. Boy, having your THIRD baby is not like having your first one! I'm so busy with the kiddos!
